Animal update...

We've had some bad news recently regarding our animal family. Sadly two weeks ago we lost our beardy Kano. He developed an eye infection which was very uncomfortable for him. We did what we could to help him and it looked like he was recovering however, he suddenly became very weak and stopped eating his food. When we checked on him before bedtime, he'd passed away. We gave him a river burial and he went out in flames, just as a dragon should.

At the moment that leaves us with just Lettuce left with us as we've had to move the piggies to another temporary home. Our landlady said they couldn't live in the garden, I'm not sure why it's a problem, but c'est la vie.. They are still local to us and we do get to visit them regularly, although it sucks that we can't see them every day.

It feels strange not having the whole family together. We're missing Kano so much right now and it's taking us a bit of time to adjust to not having him and the guineas here. It feels very quiet and empty at home right now, although I think Lettuce has been really enjoying the extra attention she's been getting lately, so that's a plus.

Meet my furry friends

As I mentioned in my first post, I love guinea pigs and I'd like to introduce you to my four little babies!
First we have the boys;
Jekyll

Hyde

Then we have the girls;
Eva

Elvira

We got all four at 10-12 weeks old. We've had the boys since last May and the girls a couple of months later. I love them all so much, they all have their own little personalities and they can be pretty funny to watch/ listen to as well.
Since moving to uni I don't get to see them as much as I would like to, so whenever I'm coming home I really look forward to seeing their cute chubby little faces! It's sad, because we're going to have to leave all of our pets with friends and family for a few weeks while we move into our new home. I'm going to miss them loads, but unfortunately I'm not allowed pets at uni and I know they'll be in very safe hands back here until we're settled into our own place.

Watch out for part two of this post; yes there's more!
Do you have any pets? If so I'd love to hear about them, leave a comment below! :)
