Lush: Skydancer - Far From The Madding Guns

When my family recently came to visit me, my Mum desperately wanted to go to the Lush shop as we don't have one back home. So we popped in and I didn't buy much, but one thing I did pick up was the Skydancer - Far From The Madding Guns bath bomb. I've mentioned before that I don't usually go for bath bombs as you can only use them once and that leaves me disappointed after I've used one because once you pop them in they seem to go so quickly! However, that being said, I picked up this once because I saw that the money goes to a good cause.

It says on the website that 'profits from each and every one of these soft floral and liquorice-scented bath bombs will help fund equipment to satellite tag many endangered hen harrier chicks born in the coming years.' And I can't say no to that.
You can read more about hen harriers and the problems currently leading to their extinction here. You can also sign the petition to put an end to the shooting of these extremely rare birds here.

Skydancer is made with bergamot, Sicilian lemon, cinnamon and of course it has a liquorice scent too. The liquorice seemed a bit scary to me as I'm not a huge fan, but when I used it I found that, although the scent was there, it wasn't overpowering at all. It definitely has floral tones and also smelt quite earthy to me too. This wouldn't be my go to Lush scent as I prefer sweeter, fruity smells, but I didn't hate it either! This bath bomb danced around in the bath water and the mixture of the blue and yellow once fizzing, became a lovely grassy-green colour. It didn't create many bubbles at all, but the colour in the water was quite thick and opaque.

As usual of lush products, it left my skin feeling nice and soft and I will be repurchasing. Mainly because even though it's not my favourite product, I know that my money will be well spent helping to preserve these beautiful, yet endangered creatures.

Lush: Heebie Jeebies

When I was in Lush I couldn't resist picking up these Halloween Heebie Jeebies! They're pretty cute, but they also each contain two Halloween themed treats!

The Pumpkin Heebie Jeebie is definitely for the bath lover. It contains the extremely glittery Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar (literally my entire bathroom is covered in glitter just from taking it out the packaging!) and the Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb.  The Sparkly Pumpkin smells sweet with scents of grapefruit, juniper berries and lime. The Lord of Misrule bath bomb is in a league of its own! I was shown a demo in my local Lush shop and was immediately sold. When you put it in the water you'll feel as if your bath has transformed into a cauldron as it changes colour from green, to pink, to purple and finally leaves your bathwater a dark blood red colour!
The Bat Heebie Jeebie is definitely for someone who prefers a shower over a bath. In it you'll find a Lord of Misrule Shower Scream which has the same scent as the bath bomb, peppercorn, black pepper, patchouli and vanilla. The second product is the Nightwing Shower Jelly which contains aloe vera, carrengeenan and lime oil. It's in the shape of a bat, smells just like fruit pastille sweets and you can use it on your body or your hair!

I haven't used all of the products yet, but the ones I have I've loved. The Sparkly Pumpkin and Nightwing are quite messy to hold, but wash off nicely so don't worry! Each of these limited edition Heebie Jeebies were just under £10 each and can double up as cute halloween decorations once you've emptied them.

Lush: The Comforter

So I'm home for Easter and that means I can bathe! I don't have a bath at uni so I'm making the most of it while I'm here. Like everyone else it seems, I'm a huge fan of Lush and I love trying out their different products. Noah's mum kindly gave me one of her bubble bars and I was so excited to use it.
The Comforter by Lush is exactly that! I didn't want to get out of the bath and when I finally did, I came out smelling amazing! It smells fruity but not too sweet. The water went a lovely pink with lots of bubbles and my skin was left soft and moisturised. I've never used a bubble bar before and I got a bit carried away and ended up using half of it in one go. It's recommended on the Lush website to use half the bar each time, but I know people have gotten about five or six uses out of theirs.
The Comforter bubble bar is £4.75 available in stores and on their website. I'll more than likely be buying this again and now I know how to make the most of it I think the price is definitely worth it.

What are your favourite Lush products?
